Chinmaya Mission Austin

Chinmaya Mission Austin offers a very well-established structured program for the growth of individuals from all backgrounds, as part of the larger Chinmaya Mission organization whose purpose is spreading the teachings contained in Vedas and Upanishads. All our activities have one focus: to reveal to people of all ages and from all walks of life, the timeless wisdom of Vedanta, which is the core of Hindu philosophy. Chinmaya Mission Austin was established in 1988 with the inspiration and support of Acharya Gaurangbhai and Acharya Darshanaben of Chinmaya Mission Houston. Our new center, Chinmaya Sundaram was inaugurated by Pujya Guruji Tejomayananda on June 26, 2014. Chinmaya Mission Austin conducts weekly discourses (Satsangs), Study groups (Sethukari and Adult), Gita Chanting classes (for adults and children) along with Balavihar and Shishu Vihar classes for children. Language classes in Hindi, Sanskrit, Kannada and Telugu are offered. Swaranjali program offerings that include violin, bhajan, dance, veena and tabla are also offered. Various puja’s and services are offered in our Temple.
